We offer Full-Time (FT) and Part-Time (PT) shifts for 2nd and 3rd shifts with flexible scheduling to accommodate your personal life.Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Resident Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care needs based on individual care plans.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Provide direct administration of prescribed medications, wound care, and other nursing treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitoring Health Status: Regularly monitor and evaluate resident health status by assessing vital signs, symptoms, and medical history, and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Care Coordination: Work collaboratively with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure all aspects of residents’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs are addressed.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain residents’ records, ensuring that all treatments, assessments, and care plans are documented in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
- Supervision and Delegation: Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate residents and their families about care plans, treatment options, and health concerns, fostering clear communication and understanding.
- Advocacy: Advocate for residents by ensuring their wishes, preferences, and rights are respected, and by maintaining a safe, comfortable, and dignified living environment.
- Emergency Response: Provide first aid and emergency care as needed. Respond to emergency situations with a clear, calm, and confident approach.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, maintaining a high level of professional standards in nursing care.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Experience: Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is preferred, but not required.
- Continuing Education: Participation in relevant Continuing Education Units (CEUs), as required by the state of Kansas and facility policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds when assisting with resident care.
- Dexterity: Ability to perform tasks such as administering medications, taking vital signs, and handling medical equipment.
- Lifting and Transferring: Ability to assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a healthcare setting that may involve exposure to medical equipment, medications, and other healthcare-related substances.
- Vision and Hearing: Ability to read and interpret medical documents and charts; ability to hear and respond to changes in a patient’s condition.
