$1.50 shift differential for 2-10pm shifts and a $2.25 shift differential for overnight shifts

Overview: Legacy at Salina, under the management of Campbell Street Senior Living, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team. As a premier senior living community, we provide skilled nursing and long-term care services. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on care and make a difference in the lives of our residents. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and mental conditions to the nursing staff to ensure that appropriate care is provided.
- Assist with mobility, including helping residents move in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist with patient transfers, repositioning residents in their beds, and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following infection control protocols and sanitizing equipment.
- Document care provided and report any changes or concerns regarding the health and safety of residents.
- Assist residents with toileting, incontinence care, and changing bed linens as needed.
- Help with feeding residents who need assistance with meals, ensuring they are comfortable during meal times.
- Provide companionship to residents and offer emotional support, ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained.
- Respond to residents’ call lights and provide timely assistance based on their needs.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure the best care for residents.
- Support residents in social and recreational activities as needed to improve their quality of life.
- Follow facility policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
Education Requirements & Qualifications (Kansas):
- Active CNA certification in the state of Kansas.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited CNA program.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained within a specific time frame after hiring.
- Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environments is preferred, but not required.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and resident care practices.
- Ability to follow care plans and provide individualized support to residents.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including assisting with the transfer or repositioning of residents.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time during shifts.
- Ability to assist with resident mobility, including moving or repositioning residents in beds, wheelchairs, or chairs.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and stooping while providing care to residents.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to various tasks and resident needs.
- Ability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays based on facility needs.
